After upgrading to 10.13.4 the DisplayLink driver stopped working. I'm running a Hackintosh on a ASUS PRIME H270M Plus motherboard with an I5 6500 processor. It boots fine with the onboard video, but only supports one monitor. I also had a working ATI Radeon HD 5770 lying around and installed that one. Dec 09, 2011 A brief video on how to upgrade or replace the graphics card of 2006 to 2011 Mac Pro computer models. The video card driver installs automatically and it is transparent to the user; a true plug and play behavior. Median xl class charm.

Apr 01, 2016 This is how to flash an ATI Radeon HD 5770 graphics card for use on a Mac Pro. This method should work for most variants of this card, and should work with any model Mac.

I ordered a new video card for my 3,1 Mac Pro and accidentally ordered the ver that doesn't say 'For Mac Pro' not realizing that there was any difference. It seems that the video card should work, if I could get it in my tower! The difference between the two ver seems to be the length and shape of its support arm(can't figure out what to call this part), the FOR Mac Pro ver is an inch or so shorter than the other one. I saw someone suggest cutting it off with a hacksaw, which I'd really rather not do. So I was wondering if anyone has tried removing the arm/case part? It seems like it might work, but I'm concerned about it exposing any important parts, it is covered with the important legal stickers. Or does anyone have ideas short of the hacksaw plan to get this bad boy to fit in the darn machine? http://i.imgur.com/ca9x5YA.jpg http://i.imgur.com/AZoLg2f.jpg http://i.imgur.com/PSz0I0p.jpg
